Question
My husband and I are both Catholic. We were married in the Catholic church 24 years ago. He wants "out of the marriage" and moved out 2 & 1/2 months ago. What EXACTLY does the church consider infedelity and/or adultery to be? I am not sure of his activities since he left. Has he nulified our marriage? I'm praying for a reconcilation.

Sadden by your situation, so I pray I can be of some help beyond a bit of comfort. I would say infedelity would probly be an act against the marriage covenant. Adultry would be an of sexual misconduct again the marriage covenant.
When say nulified I am not sure what you mean? If you mean would the Church give you a "decree of annulment" because of his current action, the simple answer is NO!.
A decree of annulment is a statement that says despite appearnce the sacrament of Holy Matriony never really took place. So its based on events and personalities before the exchange of vows.
