Catholics/interpretation

Question
i know that the catholic church is the interpreter of the holy bible. does that mean that there is an interpretation for every single verse in the scriptures accepted by all catholics?

Answer
The Church has not officially defined the meaning of every, or most verses, of sacred scripture.  In fact, I can think of only about a dozen verses which the Church has explicitly defined through its infallible teaching authority.
However, many passages are generally held by many or most reputable Catholic scholars to have a specific meaning.
Best wishes, Jerry, and thanks for writing.
