Question
I'm confused on the beginnings of Islam. I just heard that Their notion of god  Allah is a different God than what we catholics believe. I always thought that it was the same God and Muhammad didn't understand the trinty as we do. Can you explain in more detail?
God bless

Answer
Of course, God is the same objectively for all.  But you are correct in saying that the Mohammedans subjective perception is erroneous, that they are erroneous in their perception of  God, the Trinity, etc.  Thus, the term "infidel" is applied to them, or, as Pope Pius XI put it, they are wandering "in the darkness of Islamism."
