Question
Why does Paul say several times in Corinthians that it is not always good to look for a wife and get married?  I thought marriage was a very important sacrament?

Answer
To understand all that Paul teaches about matrimony requires a study of all his letters.  For example, Ephesians 5:28-33 speaks of the great mystery of love between husband and wife that should mirror the love between Christ and his church [mankind].
Corinthians had problems, which Paul addressed.  Some there [chapter 7] thought that people should not marry.  Paul spoke to their specific questions.
If you have some special passages about which you have special concerns, please feel free to write again.
In the meantime, best wishes, Lisa.
