Catholics/The revelation

Question
I was wondering what are your thoughts on the revelation? Do you believe we are in the End times today as so many people claim and if so what leads you to believe this?

Thank you

Answer
Dear Sabine:

I do believe that we are in the end times. I believe that we have been there since the first century. "...in this, the final age..." (Hebrews 1:2). The New Testament indicates that it is the last days beginning then.

If you are asking if I believe that Jesus is about to  return, I must turn to Scripture and answer, "As for the exact day or hour, no one knows it, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father only" (Matthew 24:36).

If you want my thoughts on the Book of Revelation, I believe that St. John wrote it primarily concerning the destruction of Jerusalem which occurred in 70 AD.

Thanks for the question. If I can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to ask!

God Bless You,
Sal
