Catholics/I want to become a priest

Question
I have always wanted to serve God,and I still want to serve him. My question is that how do I prepare myself to become a good priest in future. I am student at the university for development studies in Ghana.

Answer
Of course there are spiritual things you can do: continue to pray about it; read deeply in the Scriptures, especially the New Testament; get a spiritual adviser whom you trust and confide in him or her; receive the Eucharist frequently.

But the best preparation of all is to be engaged in the world and in the lives of people. Being a priest is serving people, and to serve them best, you must know them, their fears, hopes, sufferings, and joys.

I will pray for your success, Ayinbora.
