Question

some ways do the Catholic social teachings of Vatican II contradict the values of our current society? some help please would be much appreciated!

Answer
This sounds like a homework question, which I do not do.  I am not an expert on the detailed teachings of Vatican II.
However, you could check social teachings in the index of the Catechism of the Catholic Church -- available online at: www.nccbuscc.org/catechism/text/index.htm.
If I have missed your intent, please feel free to write again.
Best wishes for a blessed Christmas.
