Question
i have a 6 month old leukemia stray, who contracted the virus from his mother.  he was rescued at the pound moments before being put down along with his 6 siblings.  A month later at check-up we discovered he had the virus.  I did not believe it, because he was as healthy as any kitten could be.  About 2 month ago, he became just less interested in activity and he caught his first chest cold, he could not breath but he always ate and took his vitamins.  Now suddenly he won't eat, is partially paralyzed in the back legs, however he can walk wobbly and since I force feed him 2 times a day with transfer factors and other holistic cancer herbs, he is surviving.  My concern is that he has not made a bowel movement in 5 days!  When I put him in the litter box he urinates a little immediately but then attempts to get out.  I am worried and do not know what to do.

Answer
Hi Julia,

You need to get him to a vet. The paralysis in his back legs is what concerns me the most. He could have thrown a blood clot. And this could be the cause of the constipation. Get him to the vet. He needs medical attention. This is very serious. Good luck.
