my cats breath smells like tuna is that a bad thing for him?

I'm not sure what the problem is here. If your cat eats fish food then it would be natural for his breath to smell fishy.

If he doesn't eat fish food well then it may just be that your cat has some bad breath or even some bad teeth. The vet will be able to check his teeth.
