Question
Hi I brought home an orphaned kitten that I found in a parking lot Thursday night. I tooke him to the vet friday and he said that the kitten looks good. I've been bottle feeding him every four hours. I just want to know how much is too much? Because sometimes he takes the bottle longer then before, and I'm afraid I may be overfeeding him....
He seems to be doing great! lol..he's a fat little booger but I just dont want to feed him too much.
Also..he has had about four bowl movements today...they are all normal. Not really runny. and they are a mustard yellow color...But is that too many bowl movements for one day?
I'm sorry I know I'm asking quite a few questions I just want to make sure this little guy lives. My husband and I have grown quite attatched to him.
When we found him he only had one eye opened. He now has both opened and is even experimenting with walking a little bit!
Your info would be very helpful! Thank you so much!!

Answer
Hi
just want to check that you are not feeding him normal cows milk as cats are lactose intolerant and will cause tummy troubles and diarrhoea. There is special kitten milk you can buy.

Regarding how much to feed this very depends on the cats over all size and condition. If as you say he is doing well and is not weak or thin then feed every 6 hours and let them have as much as they want, you only have to worry when kittens do not feed properly and then there are guidelines as to how much they need to thrive. however it sounds like your guy is  a healthy eater and doing well.

I have a page about kitten care that covers some general information that you might find beneficial.

best wishes Kate
