Why is my kitten's poops SOOOOOOOO smelly?

I know poops in general are stinky, but, as my grandfather would say, "smells like something crawled up in you and died."

My other kitten's poops smell like .. well. Normal.

But Houdini's stinks up the whole house and the smell lingers. Yuuuck.

If you are feeding a lower quality food your kitty will defecate more and it will tend to smell worse. I would suggest that you try feeding a high quality holistic pet food made from human grade ingredients such as Wellness or Spot's Stew. Both of these foods come in cans and dry kibble. Hopefully a diet change will help with the stinky litter box. If a dietary change doesn't help within a couple of months it's quite possible that your kitten has a food intolerance. Your veterinarian will be able to help you determine the best course of action in this case.
