hi tina i would be more than happy if u help me is this problem imediatly,i have a 7 months old male he is verryy freindly and calm and playfull never myaws,from 1 week i brough a female 4 months old and he changed alot,although i drinks,eat,and also spray with her but he fights with her when ever he feels so,he bites her hardly and he jumps on her and he is myawing all the time in a loud crazy voice i dont think he wants to breed becouse he is small.he hates us alot naw and verry agressive,i separate them wen i leave home but its not working i dont know what to do im verry worreid and scared please help me soon thanks aloot many regardes

Hi Mariam,

You did not say if your male is neutered - he is definitely displaying mating related aggression behavior. If he's not already spayed you need to do that immediately because he might hurt her trying to breed her. Keep them separated until a few weeks after his surgery because it can take time for the hormones to decline. Hopefully you have already had him neutered months ago, it should be done at 3-4 months of age to avoid developing problems with urine spraying.

If he is already neutered, he's still displaying hormonal behavior - neutering does not remove all the hormones, some are still produced by the adrenal glands. He should grow out of this but you may need to separate him from the female for a while and try using Feliway spray - sold at pet stores - it helps reduce some kinds of aggression. If he persists you may need to talk to the vet about medication for him.
