Cats/sudden cat death

Question
I have had my cat for ten and a half years. She was over-weight and in-active but in otherwise good health. She died suddenly on Christmas. What could have caused this?

Answer
HI Nikki,

I am so sorry your kitty died. A sudden death  in a cat her age (not very old but not very young either) could have been a heart attack or a stroke. You could ask your vet for a necropsy if you want to know for sure, there could be many other possible reasons.
