Question
I live in the Poconos of Pennsylvania.  My cat got out last night.  He is 5 years old and I rescued him at 3 weeks old on the side of the street.  He is a Taby cat, male, neutered and without front claws.  I live in the woods and the temp last night was 9 degrees witha wind chill of -11.  Today (Thursday,2/28) it is only going to be 29 degrees with wind chill of 10. I looked last night everywhere with several neighbors for him with no luck.
put food out this morning in several places.
What else can i do and what are the chances of an indoor cat lasting out in this cold?
Heart broken,
Dan

Answer
Hi Dan,

Believe it or not he stands a pretty good chance of surviving. I am attaching  link to one of the old experts here. Her name is DebbieC. She gives really good advice on how to get your cat back. Read her old answers. They will help you a lot. Good luck and write back and let me know if you got him back.
