Cats/My cat's stomach...

Question
I have a 10 month old female cat.  She's very sweet and affectionate and lately I've noticed that she's loosing  hair on her stomach (between her back legs and further up towards the middle of her body) and there is a soft lump under her skin.  I was thinking it might be a hernia, but she doesn't mind me pressing on it, so it must not be hurting her.  She's also losing hair on her sides and back.

Thank you,
Katie

Answer
Hi
cat fur loss can be caused by many things from mites , allergic reactions or hormone imbalance. See this page of mine for a full list of possibilities

However this limp doesn't sound good either so with both of these things a trip to the vets as soon as possible sounds in order.

Best wishes
Kate
