I have a miniature Siamese.  If she were normal size there would be no question that she was purebred.  I say she is, but because she is a miniature, I cannot show her.  You could show her mother and father 'cause they are. But because she's short in stature they wont recognize her, so I doubt this customer will be able to. Mine was the only one from her litter, but her mother had litters before with miniatures.  My cat is now 3 and had a litter of her own, unfortunately she had only 2 that past away weeks apart.  Though my vet says it has nothing to do with her size or health, it does make one wonder.  He feels that somewhere a long the pregnancy something happened in development, maybe a virus, and feels that with the right regiment she should have no problem.  She is one of the healthiest, sweetest, lovable, well mannered cats that I've ever owned.  With owning her, the only reason I would think people would continue breeding would be to continue this perfect mix of sweetness.  I really would advise people not to call them defective.  How something with so much love and personality be defective?  As for feline cancer, you cannot tell actual cause.  There maybe statistics like 'cancer is found less in cats that are fixed before 1 yr', but since miniature is a new "breed" if you will, there is no more statistics linking them to cancer than anyother cat.  Geez sorry the long reply.
