Question
I took in a unwanted unloved thin sad snow Bengal that was posted in the free section of craigslist as her family no longer saw her fit to win ribbons in shows (no joke)...she spend most of her life in a cage and was only washed for events. I am a true lover of cats so i made the drive to pick her up the day her owner called me...so here i am with a smelly sad thin kitty lol well that is how it was 5/6ish weeks ago when we took her in. Now shes a member of our family has the best of eveything lots of love space food and a fixed male friend but we could tell a few weeks back kittens where on the way from looking at her and for the past few days we have had the joy of feeling them move. As i said we did not have her when we got into this situation is there anyway to know when she will have her babys? They will all have vet care and they will stay here for the 8weeks and then some till we know they have well fit. One more thing for the past week she has on and off acted like she is in heat is that normal

Answer
Hi Lexi,

Cats usually are pregnant for about 9 weeks. You should take her to the vet for a checkup now. She shouldn't be acting like she is in heat. Your cat is an exotic. She needs a little extra care. Especially coming from the situation that she was in before. You should also feed her the kitten type of food of whatever brand she eats now. She needs the extra protein. Have your vet check her out. Good luck.
