I just had this same situation happen with my 10 year old and 3 1/2 year old cats who got a bath.  The younger one is being the aggressive one.  This started on Sunday - now it is Tuesday.  The older cat stays upstairs a lot - I am hoping this will pass soon and hope your situation cleared up quickly.
