Hello
I am about to buy a cat carrier online for my 15 pound cat...What size do you recommend me to buy????
Hi Alma. Some pet carriers go by weight, so you should check any listings for weight limits. If no weight limit is listed, you can go by the length, width and height. Your kitty is rather large, so I would recommend something that's at least 24" long and 17" wide. This usually fits the description of "medium" or "intermediate" pet carriers. If you intend to use the carrier for long trips during which you will need to provide food or a litter box in the crate, you should opt for a large or extra large carrier.

I have 15 years of extensive experience with cats ranging from breeding to medical care. My daily routine consists of caring for cats with diabetes, thyroid disease, kidney failure, feline leukemia, feline AIDS as well as feral cats. I have experience with liver patients, heart patients, feline infectious peritonitis, cancer, recovery from amputation and trauma, congenital deformities and most every disease in between. I have assisted cats giving birth and hand-nursed kittens who were neglected by their mother from 2 days old through weaning.
