Question
I've just moved home with my three cat one is about ten and the other two are four how long should i keep them in before i let them out. thanks.

Answer
Hi
well it is often recommended that you keep them in for at least two weeks before you let them out. this gives them time to get used to their new home so that when they do go out they will have some bond with it so they know where to come to.

having said that some cats take longer other are quicker.

My own cat stayed in for only two days before she could stand it no more and got out (sneaky) but she was fine and came back within an hour or so.

You know your cats best and so if you are worried then i would say keep them in for at least two weeks if you can.

best wishes Kate
