Question
This may sound a bit awful but, I came home from work about two weeks ago to find that my cat had what looked like a gash on the top of her right front paw. It wasn't bleeding, she wasn't limping but I cleaned it up just to be safe. Now its scabbed up. There is no smell comming from it either. She still isn't limping or even bothered by it. She is strickly indoor. I was wondering how long does it take for them to heal normally? Are there any other signs I can look for as she heals fully?

Accidents happen to cats. You did the right thing there. It takes two to three weeks to heal depending on how deep the cut was. So long as there is no swelling or any signs you have been looking for she will be fine. Good luck.

Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it. Before you swat me, before you strike me, remember that I have teeth that could draw blood. And claws to strike back. And yet I choose not to attack you. If I don't act right then have me checked to see what is wrong. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too will grow old. On the difficult journey, on the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there. Because I love you so. Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them. Life would be a much duller, less joyful thing without God's critters. Pass this on.
