we baught a two month old maine coon about two months ago he is the sweetest cat till my parents come over than he turns into the meanest thing in the world towards everyone we also have another female cat that is a pixie bob bobcat and she is a female that is the same age and he is constantly trying to dominate her he is fixed but leaving scabs all over the back of her neck we love out cats but i fear that he might hurt her how can i fix out situation please help

Answer
Heather,

Is your Pixie Bob fixed?  If not, your boy still has some hormones and, if there is a female in season near by, he may try to breed her.  It is not uncommon for neutered males to try to breed whole females in season.

As to your parents, do thew have any pets? I wonder if he is getting a whiff of something on their clothing.  Some cats just do not like certain people and then they go through this fight/flight/fright reaction and hiss at everybody and everything.  When the people they do not like leave, this reaction usually subsides within a couple of days.

Best regards... Norm.
