Question
hi i have two cats from the same litter a boy and girl they are about 8 months old they use the kitty litter but if you leave anything on the ground they will wee on it from when you change the beds if you put the sheets on the floor they will go on them but wont if they are on the bed if the kids leave their towel they will use it too please help

Answer
Renae,

Are they neutered and spayed?  If not, this may be part of the problem.  Also, when the cat has an accident, it must be cleaned up with an enzyme based cleaner specifically for pet stains and pet odors (usually available in pet supermarkets).  You can also try a Feliway diffuser (also available from most pet supermarkets) where they are doing most of their accidents.

Here is a link to a series of articles on litter box problems:

Please let me know how it goes.

I judged for the Canadian Cat Association from 1975 until 1982. I am currently an approved allbreed judge for the Cat Fanciers'' Association (the world''s largets cat registry), and have been judging for them since 1991. I have been breeding pedigreed cats since 1971 and have been exhibiting pedigreed cats in shows since 1970. I obtained my first pedigreed cat in 1970 and have never looked back. In 1971, I obtained my first Abyssinian which has become my primary breed. In addition, I have bred Manx and Persians. Currently, besides the Abyssinians, I am also breeding Maine Coons.
