Question
hi i have a six month old snow spotted bengal i have had her since end of April bought from breeder she has had her needles and been checked by vet. she has been feeding on Felix kitten food in jelly, but last week she has just sniffed at her food and bawked at it she wont eat dried ie iams tried her with some raw mince beef she ate this but scared to feed her on this alone can you advise tried to contact breeder but had no response thanks Diane

Answer
Hi
cats can be fussy eaters and it is actually instinct that makes them like this. in the wild they do not want to become too reliant on one food source and so they like to eat different things. in the domesticated cat even though this should not affect them they are still driven by this instinct. So changing their food around to either different flavours or brands is quite common.

I have several pages on my web site about cat food issues including nutritional requirements etc which you may find of interest. here is the first page
