Question
i have had cats my whole life and have never had any problems but now i have two kittens one male, one female, both 8 weeks and the female keeps going to the bath room #1 and #2 about 2 feet in front of the litter box and has recently gone #2 on my husbands shoe and #1 on my daughters blanket. im just a little confused on what the next step for me to take should be, im not one to give up animals like they are disposable but if it doesn't stop i will have no choice! Please help. the only thing i can guarantee is that my husband will not be up for costly fixes he already wants me to get rid of them! i think it was the shoe thing that did it in for him! Please help

Answer
Hi Megan,

Can the kitten climb into the litter box? It may be a wee bit too high for her. Try a lower box for her. Then clean the areas she has been using with an enzymatic cleaner to remove all odors that might tempt her back. I use this; Bramton Simple Solution Home Stain and Odor Remover. Works great and smells good. Next try using this stuff, http://www.preciouscat.com/
You can get it at pet Smart. Works super. Try these three things and see how she does. I think you won't have anymore problems with her. Good luck.
