Cats/Lost Kittens

Question
We had two kittens, who came from the same mother, here at our home for at least two weeks.  They were getting pretty curious and they disappeared five days ago.  The night they disappeared there was a wild kitten here.  It ran off as soon as it saw me.  That was the last time I saw our kittens.  I am thinking they ran off with the wild kitten.  We asked all the neighbors around us who have to watch for them.  One neighbor told us there is a den of foxes close by, but another one told us kittens are fast enough to get away.  Do you think, if they are alive and just ran off with the wild kitten, that there is any way to get them back?

Answer
Hi Hilary.  Sorry to hear the little ones have gone missing.  If there was a feeding spot that they had been visiting consistently each day, you could try continuing to provide food at that spot at the same time each day.  Cats are creatures of habit, and providing a solid food source is your best chance of getting them back.  However, if the kittens had only been there for a couple of weeks and have been gone for 5 days now, chances are that they probably have moved on.

Best of luck!
