Question
My cat is a 4 year old calico. She has been spayed for about 3 years now. She has always been healthy, she has a mammary gland removed once but thats it. Anyway for the past 6 month she has gradually gotten worse. First we noticed that she wont go outside any more (that is fine with me i would rather her be inside anyway) but now she is drinking allot of water and wont come out of the bedroom she acts like she is scared to. And now she is twitching and lose of balance. I know I need to take her to the vet and I will as soon as I get the money for some blood work cause I know thats the first thing they will want to do. So for know can you tell me what it could be. I have read some and think it might me diabetes. Please help.

Answer
Brenda,

I am not a vet, but, yes, it can be diabetes, but, it also could be kidney failure, and maybe something else, altogether. In any case, she needs to see a vet as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!!

Please let me know what you find out.

Concerned regards... Norm.
