Question
I have a female black long haired cat. She has approximately six-eight visible nipples on her belly. She's chewing on one in particular. Licking it...to the point where it leaves little blood stains on my bedspread when she's on it. What should I do? I don't see any fleas on her. I put advantage on her a month ago. Could it possibly be her litter? My cat is a little overweight so her belly likely drags on the litter when she uses the litter box. Tomorrow I will get her Sweat Scoop (Wheat litter) to see if that helps. But, I was wondering what you think....

It sounds like she might have an infection going on there. She is licking it because it annoys her. If her belly drags in the litter it can get a scratch and get infected. You need to get her to the vet and get it cleared up. Or she can have a case of Cystitis. Cats lick at their bellies a lot with that. Either way a trip to the vet is in order.
