Question
my cat has not had a bowel movent in 3 days and seems cold to the touch

Answer
Hi Carolann. Rush her to the vet! A low body temperature is an extreme emergency! It means her body is shutting down. I don't know if her body is shutting down because her colon is impacted or if she has stopped having bowel movements because he body systems were shutting down, but something is very wrong.  Please get her to the vet immediately, on an emergency basis, even if it means you have to bring her to an emergency facility.  I hope everything goes well.

Sincerely,
Jessica

I have 15 years of extensive experience with cats ranging from breeding to medical care. My daily routine consists of caring for cats with diabetes, thyroid disease, kidney failure, feline leukemia, feline AIDS as well as feral cats. I have experience with liver patients, heart patients, feline infectious peritonitis, cancer, recovery from amputation and trauma, congenital deformities and most every disease in between. I have assisted cats giving birth and hand-nursed kittens who were neglected by their mother from 2 days old through weaning.
