Question
we use frontline + for the "attack of the fleas" but am wondering if i can use Nemex plus on them as well as our pooches...we've got 6 cats (8mos-16yrs) so a common appropriate product helps!
Thanks

Answer
Hi Caren.  The ingredients in Nemex Plus are safe for cats as long as given in the correct dosage.  And the dosage is basically the same by weight as for dogs.  I'm not sure which size tablets you have.  If you have small dogs that weigh about the same as your cats, then you can share, or if the cats are half their weight, you may be able to split them in half.  But beyond this, I would use a separate dewormer for the kitties.

I noticed that you are located in the U.S., and Nemex Plus is not generally available in this country.  So I just thought I would mention that if you happen to be referring to Nemex II, which is available in a liquid and this is what you have, it will be much easier to dose the cats.  Again, it will be the same dosage per pound as for the dogs.

Good luck!
