Question

csick cat
hi
one of my 1.5 year cat is in very serious condition since a few days despite of all medication.
The symptoms started 12 days ago when my fit and healthy male cat didn't eat or drink the whole day. then he started limping with his hind lega his tail also curved a little at the end . then he got severe diarreha with dark brown thick liquid like stool.my vet gave him "augmentin and decadron" for infection and "flagyl and Furazoladine" syrup for diarrehea but no use .he gradually started loosing weight and legs became weaker and weaker making it difficult for him to stand or walk. now all the time a dark brown liquid like stool keeps flowing from his body usually  in forms of drops .he's  always licking her body to make it clean but no use. now since yesterday he is so lethargic that he cries with pain while walikg few steps he's unable to balance his hind legs and wipe his body. he only eats small pieces of meat and don't take milk
plz help me regarding this diseas as it has already cost life of my two beloved kittens earlier this year. thanks

Answer
Naureen,

I am not a vet, but it sounds as if the vets are treating symptoms and do not know the root cause.  If there is a veterinary school near you, you might consider taking your cat there.  It could be any number of things, from poisoning to cancer to a genetic or congenital problem to who knows what else.

Unless you can get tot he bottom of this quickly, it sounds as though you may lose him.

Concerned regards... Norm.
