Cats/Cat acting unusual

Question
Hi, My cat had been throwing up his food whole. Then we purchased a different brand and he seemed to stop throwing up and seemed happy and playful.  A few days ago, he started throwing up again and today has been acting very strange for him.  He has been hissing at my kids and even scratched my husband when my husband approached him.  While hissing he is making a strange sound from his stomach. Not sure what's wrong.

Answer
Hi Vanessa.  This is definitely a case to bring right to your vet.  I am not a vet, but it sounds like he's probably got a real belly ache, which can cause aggression, and that needs to be addressed.  Your vet will be able to try to determine the underlying cause of his stomach problems and develop a proper treatment plan.  A simple stomach bug might be the problem, and antibiotics will often help with that.  Or he may have something more significant that needs to be considered, such as kidney or liver disease.  Whatever the cause of his vomiting and his aggression, a vet is the right place to start.

Good luck with your guy!
