Question
Hello, I have 2 male cats one is is over a year old and the other one is about 7-9 months old. The younger one started spraying... but I notice most times he is  kind of squatting for long periods of time..in and out of the box. but nothing is coming out. He seemd lathargic and not his normal self. I plann on taking him to the vet this week but am wondring what could be the cause of this? thanks you for your time

Answer
Hi Vikki,

He sounds like a prime candidate for having an Feline Urological Disease.
Here's a link with some good info for you on this.

Or it could be just an Urinary Tract Infection. Your vet will be able to tell for sure. However if he is not passing urine at all you need to get him to a vet immediately!. This is very serious.

After you vet has taken care of him here is a link about cat nutrition. http://catinfo.org/index.htm
Read that. It will help prevent problems from occurring again.

Good luck.
