My ONE AND A HALF YEAR OLD CAT DELIVERED 4 KITTENS ON 9/9/09. SHE STILL LOOKS PREGNANT. COULD SHE HAVE ANY KITTENS LEFT INSIDE HER? HER KITTENS LOOK VERY HEALTHY AND HAPPY. THE MOM SHOWS A LIL BLOOD COMMING FROM HER BIRTH AREA. SHOULD SHE STILL HAVE BLOOD? I DO NOT VISUALLY SEE ANY MILK COMMING FROM HER KITTENS MOUTH, BUT THE KITTENS ARE NOT CRYING AT ALL.

Hi Teri,

You might want to have her checked out by the vet. The blood may be nothing but a afterbirth discharge. or she could still have kits in her. A trip to the vet will be your best bet to make sure all is well.

If she is taking care of the kits and they are eating there shouldn't be much crying yet. Are they suckling? If they are at the mom's teats and they aren't crying then they should be getting milk. You might not see any milk coming from their mouths. Try squeezing gently on her teats to see if any milk is discharging. If it is then I wouldn't worry about the kits.

Take her to the vet. This will end any speculation about her. Good luck.

On the difficult journey, on the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there.
