Question
I want to home a stray cat and I alread have a 14 year old cat.  I caught the stray, Charlie, yesterday.  I have been feeding him since Aug 08 and we moved house Aug 09.  I managed to get hold of him yesterday and have had him in a cage.   He's been eating and drinking and using the litter tray.  He seems happy.  The Blue Cross are able to take him in, problem is, I want to keep him and am worried about my 14 year old cat (Snowi) who is really territorial and I don't want to give her a heart attack or stress her out.  Charlie is in the cage and Snowi has sniffed at him and has growled and hissed.  I just don't know what to do, do I take Charlie to the Blue Cross or do I keep him??  It is breaking my heart to think of giving him to the Blue Cross, but I don't know what is the right thing to do... please help?

Answer
Hi Michelle,

If you want to keep him here is what you want to do. http://www.littlebigcat.com/index.php?action=library&act=show&item=cattocatintro...
Follow that advice. If you have any problems you can try a product called Feliway Comfort Zone. This mimics a cat's happy pheromones. Good luck. And make sure your new guy has his vaccines, is wormed, defleaed and neutered.
