Question
I have 3 cats....the male cat just started poooping out of the box in another room since i changed the litter to yesterdays news..could this be the  problem? My other 2 cats are sisters and he was adopted after I had the sisters about 6 years...this has happened over the last month...never before...I have been away for a vcouple of days and my husband said it got worse.....please give me suggestions and possible causes...i am afraid he will continue now that his scent is in that room...HELP

Answer
Joan,

Cats are very much creatures of habit and will carry out some inappropriate litter pan behaviors if you change the brand or type of litter.  It is also not clear that he will be OK going back to the original litter.  Another thing you might try is "Cat Attract" litter (available at most pet supermarkets and on-line).

Please let me know how he does.

Best regards... Norm.
