Cats/My spayed female cat is humping--EVERYTHING

Question
We adopted a spayed female cat this past August.  Things were going great with our other two cats (one male, one female and both fixed).  About two or three months ago she started climbing on top of our arms and lifting all four limbs in unison while whining and biting or licking our wrists.  She then moved on to do the same "deed" with our other two cats.  We coined the act "dominating", and heard this may actually be why she is doing this.  Is this true?  Can it be stopped?  Should it be stopped?  I am a little embarrassed to call and ask the vet for obvious reasons.

Answer
Suzy,

I would have your vet check her hormone levels.  It is possible that, when she was spayed, the vet did not get everything and she will need to be opened up again <sigh>.

You can try a Feliway diffuser (available from most pet supermarkets) where she does this behavior the most to see if it will have any affect.

I am not certain it really is a behavior of being in season, but it sure does not sound normal, to me.  On the other hand, if she is not hurting anything or causing a fracas, you may just want to ignore it.  Sometimes, if a cat finds a behavior that gets a rise out of you, it uses this behavior to manipulate your behaviors.  If she is using the litter pan normally and causing any harm, you may just want to leave it alone and ignore it.

I am sorry I cannot be of more help.

Best regards.. Norm.
