Cats/training kittens on litter box

Question
Hi,

My female persian cat gave birth to two kittens 5 weeks ago; so I was wondering will their mother train them how to use a litter box, or will I have to step in?
Also, at what age kittens can have their first bath?

Thanks alot
Moe

Answer
Hi
yes the mother cat will usually teach their kittens to use the litter box. they will watch her and copy her.

Sometimes this does not always work and you may have to lend a helping hand, but see how the mother cat gets along first. make sure the side of the litter box is not too high for the kittens to get into.

best wishes Kate
