Cats/house breaking a cat

Question
Hi, I have a 5 yr old spayed female calico cat. She never had a little box and always meowed or was at the door when she needed to go out. I have moved in the last 6 months and recently had no problem until I added a garage to the house. [the last house had a garage and I also had a pet door for her that she used very well] She never went in the garage. Now however she is using a corner of the new garage and I do have a pet door for her use. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi
I'm not too sue what you are asking but I think you want some advice on how to get your cat used to using a litter tray.

there is a method by which you confine the cat for a few days in a small room with their litter tray and encourage them to use it by showing them it and putting them inside it after meals as this is when they most usually want to go.

the method is described on this page in more detail.
