Question
Hi Kate, my 11 year old shorthair female has been occasionally sneezing the past 3 days; there are no other abnormal symptoms, she is bright eyed, no nasal discharge and as affectionate as always, but about a dozen times throughout the day we hear her sneeze. We are just wondering if a trip to the Vet is warranted. Thank You..Nick

Answer
Hi
well it is possible that she has a cold as my two have a slight cold but with only sneezing as a symptom.

the other option is that they have become allergic to something or have something lodged in their nose.

i would keep an eye on it for a few more days and if there is no change perhaps a trip to the vets to make sure nothing is in the nose.

i do have a page about cat allergies which you may find of further interest here

best wishes Kate
