Question
I am wondering why my cat has eye discharge i took him to the vet they never told me what it was all they did was give me eye drops which never helped and now he is acting like he wants to throw up a hair ball but cant and he has been doin it for a few days what is it and what can i do?

Answer
Hi Sarah,

First off I would call your vet back and ask them what he has. Then I would tell them about the cough. Sounds like it could be an upper respiratory infection or herpes. You need to know. Call them back. And the next thing you need to do is take him back. He should be rechecked.

Also, if you are not happy with the way they are treating your cat, change your vet. Here's a good link that should help you figure out if you have a good vet.

If he has an upper respiratory infection then he needs more than eye drops. The same thing goes if he has herpes. Get him rechecked. This is the best thing you can do for him. Good luck.
