Question
My cat, Bella, has delivered one kitten last night around p.m.. Sadly, it was a stillborn. It came out before the sac, the cord, and the placenta. It's face seemed deformed? maybe not developed completely? Now it's been 24 hours and still no sign of Bella going back into labor. She at least has two more kittens. She's occasionally licking herself and she's eating and drinking. She's also spotting blood, about two drops every now and then when she lies down. Not very often. Does this mean all the kittens will be stillbirths? We are taking Bella to a vet soon, once we can financially. But I need an idea of what's happening?
Hi Lauren,
Cats can deliver one kit, go out of labor, then go back into labor. This sounds like what has happened here. Keep an eye on her. She should go back into labor very soon,(within 24 hours). If she doesn't then get her to your vet to have her looked at. Good luck.
