Cats/only 1 newborn kitten & it's stillborn

Question
Hi Karen,my 2 yr. old cat Mystical is/was pregnant and we have thought she was in early labor for 2 days now. She's very clinging and meowing as if in heat. She also was bleeding(spotting) for these 2 days on & off. Tonight, my husband found a baby kitten in between folds of a comforter she frequently lays on/under. It was not alive. But it was cleaned off completely of blood, the sac etc. but didn't have alot of hair. After disposing of the baby, Mystical began to increase her yawling & restlessness as she was 2 days prior. Is it possible she may have passed only this one due it's condition & still be pregnant with others? We're very sad & confused & don't have means to take her to be seen professionally right now! Please help us figure things out if you can?! GOD Bless You!

Answer
Hi Jessica,

She still can have kittens inside her. If she is still in labor and not passing kittens there isn't much you can do at home. She needs to be seen by a vet. She may have to have a Cesarean. This is a serious situation. I know times are tough money wise but most vets will work with you. I have had to pay my vet off for 3 months,(every two weeks), because one of mine went over the vet emergency funds I had. Talk to your vet to make arrangements about payments and get her in to be checked. You will saving her life and the unborn kits lives. Good luck.
