Cats/Lilac Burmese bad behaviour

Question
Dear Sir,

I am at my wit's end with the behaviour of my beautiful speyed Lilac Burmese male, Argie, towards the three piebald cats next door. Each day he goes in to their shed and literally beats them up, draws blood and inflicts wounds, defecating in their beds and ripping their collars off. He is of course a house angel and street devil and all who come to our house, stroke and rub him and think that he is the most delightful and beautiful ( which he is of course) of cats. Our neighbours are threatening to move house or worse still to take drastic action aobut his behaviour and I dread to think what this may entail. If you could please offer me any advice, I would be eternally grateful.

Many thanks,

Kind regards,

Beatrice Aird-O'Hanlon from Delgany, County Wicklow, Ireland.

Answer
Beatrice,

I am afraid there is not much you can do except to keep him indoors!  He will take any opportunity he can to go over and bother the next door cats.  That is just the nature of cats.  Like any bully, I suspect, if one of them would stand up to him, he would immediaelty back down. However, cats find their nitches with respect to cat inter-relationships. and we humans just do not understand the rules!!!!!

So, again, keeping him indoors may be your only option to curb these behaviors.

Best regards... Norm.
