Question
So here goes....

We have a 20# Maine Coon Cat that we have had since he was very young.  Had him fixed and declawed at the minimum age and other than a couple infections to the skin and urine, he is very healthy.  In the last couple of years, we have spent quite a bit on vet bills and have tried all their tactics to include kitty prosac.  He has decided to urinate outside his box in multiple locations as if he is marking.  He has a younger sister and has had others in the home and it never seemed to have any problem.  No health issues, no urinary issues and as stated before with the eception of losing his teeth somewhat, he is a health young man.

Sits with us, sleeps all over the place.  I have tried Rid and a number of sprays, fermone treatments on the floor and airborn type as well.  One night he looked right at me and let it rip then ran, so he clearly knows better.

It is so frustrating considering we spent about $8,000 on a new floor on the first floor of the house and he is ruining it.

Any thoughts?

I'll try to help the best I can. There are a few things you can try. he is a big cat. Get one of these.

That is what you should have for him. Then fill it with a 40# box of scoopable litter. Use a bag of this also.

I think this will take care of your problem. I also recommend cleaning all the areas he has used with this stuff.

I find this works the best,(and smells really nice too). He is a big cat and needs a big box. That plus the attractant should get him to use his box again. And using the enzymatic cat urine cleaner should keep him from being tempted to reuse the floor areas. Good luck and let me know what happens.
