Hi Kate:

I wonder if you can help me.  I have 4 cats ranging from 1-9.  There is a 4 month old little boy kitten down the hall from where I live that needs a home.  He has already been neutered, tested for leak and FIV and has had his 4 in1 shots.  

I would love to take him except I don't have an extra bedroom.  I can't evict my cats from the bedroom especially my 9 year old.  It would not be fair.  The bathroom is too small and the litter boxes are in there.  If I brought him home and just put him down, I know there would be hissing and swatting but would it get any worse then that?  If you know of another way please tell me.  Can you help me?  Otherwise this kitten is going back to the vet to live in a cage.  My heart is breaking.

I will be brutally honest with you here.

i think the kitten needs to be found a home where he will have more space to live a happy contented life than being confined to a small flat /s house which already has other cats living in it.

cats do not like to live in confined spaces and especially not with lots of other cats.

I know this is not the answer you are looking for and i know you say your heart is breaking but you have to think about the cats quality of life and he has a better chance of finding a good home if a animal shelter can find him one or perhaps you could try and ask around to see if anyone is willing to take him in.
