Question
I have 4 cats, Callie 13, Whiskas ll, Garfield 2 and Smokey 1-1/2,he is crippled.Garfield was recently neutered, he is upsetting the other cats water bowels and his too, he hits and goes after Smokey, the cripled one. Smokey is in a separate room but Garfield can still get to him. The older cats stay upstairs mostly,they don't want to be bothered with him. Smokey is very lovable but I get tired of trying to figure her out. Can you help?
Hi Jean,
Garfield is still feeling the effects of the surgery. He should come out of this soon. Try using Feliway Comfort Zone. It mimics cat's happy pheromones. You can also use a spray bottle of water and spray him when he starts to display his aggressiveness. You want to stop it before he starts in on the others.
I can't tell from your description what type of aggressive behavior your Garfield is displaying. However you can also ask your vet for something to calm him down until he settles down from his surgery. I'm not sure what else you are asking here about Smokey. I can't help you with her. Hopefully this helps you a little. He may just need a little time. Good luck and take care.

| Comment | Thank you for your answer, I never thought that because he was neutered recently and not younger that it would take a little more time for Garfield to calm down. I did buy some water bowels that he couldn't tip over. He does seem to be calming down a little. The problem didn't start until after we got him neutered so your answer made alot of sense. Thank you again. And when I said I didn't know what to do with Smokey, I made a mistake, it was Garfield | ||
