Question
hi there my name is Jessica i have 4 female cats female is 4 years....two female cats 2 years old and a kitten female 4 months old....one of them is peeing on my bed and i cant figure out who it is i was wondering if it is tract infection but its not happening to often only once every couple of weeks hoping you can shed some light thank you

Answer
Jessica,

Are they all spayed?  Do you have multiple litter pans?  Our rule of thumb is 1 litter pan for every two cats. You have not told me when the peeing started or how long you have had each of the cats, so it is hard to gauge what may be going on.

IF I had to guess, I would suspect the 4 month old may be coming into season and the untoward peeing may be a symptom of this behavior.

Also, you may want to consider keeping them out of your bed room for a while. Any area where a cat has peed must be cleaned up with an enzyme based cleaner specifically for pet stains and pet odors. I do believe they make such products for laundry. IT is also possible that when one does it they all get into the act as a territory marking thing.

You may also try a Feliway diffuser for your bedroom.

Best regards... Norm.
