Question
I have a 1 and 1 month old female kitty. She is tending to throw and spit up a lot lately. It's starting to worry me because I'm having a baby soon. I want to know what I can do to help her. Cause if it doesn't stop soon I'm going to have to give her up, for the sake of my baby. So what can I do to help her?

Answer
Hi Heather,

Have you brought her to the vet? Most vomiting is due to infections of the gastrointestinal tract that can be treated with antibiotics or antiparasitics. Your cat should be diagnosed by a vet and given a prescription treatment. If the prescriptions don't work, it's possible she has a food intolerance or an inflammatory condition, such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). IBD usually responds to treatments such as prednisone, and food intolerances can be worked out with a prescription food, or with trial and error using different foods on the market. I recommend those without grains.

I would work with your vet to get to the bottom of her illness before giving her up.

Best of luck!
