Question
Hi Kate,

Tonight while petting my cat Simon, I noticed a flesh colored lump about the size of a pea and fairly thick, on the outside of his skin. It doesnt seem to bother him too much but it is very concerning. I found multiple things saying it could be anything from a fatty deposit to a tumor.  Any ideas or solutions would be greatl apprecitaed!!
Thanks'

Answer
Hi

Unfortunately something like this does rally need to be seen by a vet because as you have found out it could be several things.

Depending on its size it could even be a tick they can look like small grey lumps too.

See my page here for more on ticks

Your best option as I say is to have a vet take a look sooner rather than later. Let's hope it is something which can be easily dealt with

Best wishes kate
